Description

Level: easy 

This fluffy hummus is an all time favorite and used as a spread on pita bread. Extremely good in combination with homemade falafel or vegetable sticks.

Ingredients

  • 1 ⅓ cups canned chickpeas
  • 2 gloves garlic
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1/2 tsp cumin powder, grounded
  • Juice of half lemon
  • 23 tbsp chickpea water
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. First of all, drain and rinse the chickpeas
  2. Keep the chickpea water for other recipes where you need vegan whipped egg whites
  3. Add all ingredients into a high speed blender
  4. Blend until you get a smooth paste
  5. If the paste is too dry just add a little bit more chickpea water
  6. Drizzle in the olive oil while blending
  7. Remove the creamy dip from the blender
  8. Decorate the hummus with red paprika powder and olive oil
