Spiced S’mores Hot Chocolate

Craving hot chocolate? No problem, you’ll get a completely vegan hot chocolate recipe RIGHT NOW! Super easy, super comforting and a great drink to do good to yourself. The cayenne gives it a little extra kick – just super delicious!



  • 1 1/2 cups soy milk
  • 1 tbsp cacao powder
  • 1 tbsp dark chocolate
  • 1 tsp maple syrup (or more)
  • 1 pinch of cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 pinch fennel powder
  • 1 pinch ground cloves
  • 1 pinch anise powder
  • 1 pinch black pepper
  • 1 pinch of sea salt
  • A handful vegan marshmallows (optional)


  1. In a small pot combine all ingredients besides the marshmallows
  2. Boil on medium heat until the ingredients dissolve
  3. Transfer the hot chocolate to a glas or mug
  4. Place the marshmallows on top, broil in the oven on high heat for 2 minutes


I really recommend to keep an eye on it while you are broiling the Spiced S’mores Hot Chocolate in the oven (2 minutes only!). I am sure you will burn it, if you walk away! Happened to me, so I know what I am talking about! 😉
