Craving hot chocolate? No problem, you’ll get a completely vegan hot chocolate recipe RIGHT NOW! Super easy, super comforting and a great drink to do good to yourself. The cayenne gives it a little extra kick – just super delicious!
- 1 1/2 cups soy milk
- 1 tbsp cacao powder
- 1 tbsp dark chocolate
- 1 tsp maple syrup (or more)
- 1 pinch of cayenne pepper
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon
- 1 pinch fennel powder
- 1 pinch ground cloves
- 1 pinch anise powder
- 1 pinch black pepper
- 1 pinch of sea salt
- A handful vegan marshmallows (optional)
- In a small pot combine all ingredients besides the marshmallows
- Boil on medium heat until the ingredients dissolve
- Transfer the hot chocolate to a glas or mug
- Place the marshmallows on top, broil in the oven on high heat for 2 minutes
I really recommend to keep an eye on it while you are broiling the Spiced S’mores Hot Chocolate in the oven (2 minutes only!). I am sure you will burn it, if you walk away! Happened to me, so I know what I am talking about! 😉
