These delicious thin crêpes reminds me of a Paris trip a few years ago. I remember how I got out the subway and a crêpes both appeared in front of me. Ever since then, I was dreaming about creating an animal product free version which the same texture and taste. Et voilà, Mesdames et Messieurs here it is! My dream literally came true!

Ingredients

  • 2½ cups oat milk (optional: rice, coconut, almond, soy)
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 pinches kala namak
  • 1 tsp sunflower oil
  • 1 tsp turmeric
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • spraying oil

Instructions

  1. Add all ingredients to a bowl or a stand mixer
  2. Whisk together all ingredients until you get a smooth batter
  3. Spray a pan with some vegetable oil and heat on medium
  4. With help of a ladle batter into the pan, just enough to cover the whole pan
  5. The more batter you use the thicker the crêpes at the end
  6. Bake the vegan crêpes on both sides until golden brown

Notes

I recommend to use a coated pan so you won’t need tons of oil. I do not add sugar to this recipe so you can eat the vegan Crêpes in a sweet or savory way.

Vegan Crêpes

I use the leftovers for a delicious soup the next day. Just roll the crêpes, cut them into thin strips and add them to a clear soup. In my hometown it is called pancake soup. You can freeze the strips and add your soup dish when needed.
